Four new scents added, more on the way
Posted by Ken on Sep 8th 2016
We finally got photos taken of four batches that have cured and are ready to sell.
First up is Purely Patchouli, scented with dark Indonesian essential oil. Popular way back during my formative years during the hippie era of the late 60s and early 70s, patchouli is still a favorite today.
If strongly scented soaps are you cup of tea the Bangkok is the soap for you. Sharp citrusy lemongrass essential oil is the dominant fragrance with ginger essential oil giving some earthiness and spearmint essential oil adding an almost imperceptible sweetness.
We've used quite a few Lavenders over the years, and the Dutch Lavender we just added is by far my favorite. It's a very floral lavender essential oil with only very light camphorous notes.
Caffe Latte, rich black coffee with dark chocolate and hints of almond, rounds out the latest additions to our lineup.
Soaps we have on the curing racks to be added are:
Pomander - orange spiced with clove and cinnamon
Pumpkin Pie - just what the name describes
Apple Jack - fresh juicy apples with warm spices
Renn Faire - a traditional dragon's blood fragrance
Black Tie & Tails - a refined cologne blend
Rose Garden - freshly cut roses
There's more to come soon. We're getting ready to start on some Christmasy soaps
